Job Summary

You will install, service, and maintain air-conditioning systems, troubleshoot and repair units, perform chemical cleaning and overhaul, and ensure compliance with safety standards while maintaining service records and liaising with customers and site staff.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain air-conditioning systems including split units, FCU, and condenser units to ensure optimal operation
• Troubleshoot and repair air-conditioning units promptly to minimize downtime
• Perform chemical cleaning and chemical overhaul independently to maintain system efficiency
• Check and top up refrigerant gas as needed to ensure proper cooling performance
• Inspect compressors, fan motors, piping, and drainage systems to identify and resolve issues
• Respond to service calls and breakdown issues promptly to restore functionality
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedule to prevent system failures
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain accurate service records and reports for tracking and accountability
• Communicate service updates effectively with customers, site staff, and management
• Support ad-hoc maintenance tasks assigned by supervisors to meet operational needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• NITEC / Higher NITEC or relevant technical certification preferred
• Knowledge of split units, VRV/VRF systems, and FCU servicing preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years relevant experience depending on seniority
• Possess Class 3 driving licence if performing field servicing
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required
• Responsible and able to work independently
