Barista/Hand Drip Specialist (Part-time welcomed)

Salary: Basic + Commission

Working Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Saturday

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and skilled Barista with a strong foundation in hand drip brewing to join our team. You'll be at the heart of our café experience — crafting exceptional cups, guiding guests through our coffee offerings, and contributing to a warm, knowledgeable café culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hand drip coffee (V60, Chemex, Kalita Wave, etc.) to consistent quality standards

• Operate and maintain coffee machines and other brewing equipment

• Engage customers with coffee knowledge and recommend brews based on their preferences

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the café

• Assist with coffee bean selection, grinding, and dialling in recipes

• Participate in tasting sessions and team training

• Upsell coffee products, merchandise, and food pairings to earn commission

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of barista experience, with demonstrable hand drip skills

• Familiarity with manual brewing methods and extraction variables (grind size, water temperature, pour technique)

• A genuine passion for specialty coffee

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Able to work Monday to Saturday

• Barista certification or SCA credentials a plus, but not required
